Sapphire HD 5850 Toxic, HD 5850 Vapor-X

Radeon HD 5850 is, while waiting for HD 5830, one of the most interesting performance cards for people one a budget. Performance is really good and the price is not as high as the single-GPU flagship HD 5870. Sapphire has now launched two models that also shrinks the gap to big brother by overclocking both GPU and GDDR5 memory from factory.

Sapphire HD 5850 TOXIC Edition is the higher-end version of the two with 65MHz higher GPU clock frequency and 500MHz higher memory clocks, but the Vapor-X version has also been noticeably overclocked.

Both cards sport Sapphire’s own Vapor-X Technology for cooling, which is simply a silent and efficient graphics card cooler enabling up to 15Cº lower GPU temperatures and 10dBA less noise than the reference cooler.

Both cards bring the usual amount of Radeon HD 5800 series features, including DirectX 11, Eyefinity and more. Both cards are available today and cost a few tens over the standard Radeon HD 5850.
