3D Velocity took a look Gyration’s Ultra cordless optical suite. Basically, it’s just a cordless keyboard and mouse. But the difference to other products is that this mouse both has an optical and a gyroscopical sensor. So there’s no need for even a desk anymore. Apart from a little deviation when using it mid-air, it appears to be working fine. Is it worth the money?
“If all you need is a simple, reliable optical mouse with a robust wireless capability then the only thing that goes against the Gyration unit is the price and its slightly smaller than optimal size but even so it would almost certainly be wise to consider other options. If however you have a valid reason to want a mouse that can also be used off the desktop, whether for presentations, to ease an existing or prevent a future RSI injury or for any number of other equally valid reasons, then the Gyration Ultra Cordless Optical Suite offers no equals and the price represents excellent value for money. “
