Shuttle launches two new nForce2 motherboards

0

Yesterday Gigabyte launched it’s first nForce2 motherboard on the market and today in connection with AMD’s launch of Athlon XP 3200+, Shuttle has followed up with a motherboard launch. Shuttle launches their AN35 series which accordingly is based on the nForce2 chipset. This isn’t Shuttle’s first nForce2 product, but their first nForce2 motherboard following the ATX standard.

The series contains four different motherboards and uses two different versions of the nForce2 chipset. The two top models use nForce2 Ultra chipset, while the budget models are satisfied with nForce2 400 chipset. The differences between the two chipsets, which according to accurate sources will be launched officially tomorrow, is that the last one mentioned doesn’t have any support for DualDDR. Apart from that, there is nothing differing the two chipsets as far as we know, but nForce2 400 chipset should have a remarkably better price.

You can read more about hte motherboards at Shuttle’s homepage.
