Digit-life searched for an answer to the question “why double channel”. Does it offer higher performance than single channel? Although the Athlon processor’s maximum bandwith is far below what double channel can offer, is it better?
It appears that the answer is yes. More, even in single channel mode the nForce board is able to outperform an VIA KT400A board. And it isn’t even the nForce 2 ultra 400. (although the only difference appears to be specified maximum FSB).
