The choice for a gamer: Pentium 4 3.0C vs. Athlon XP 3200+

We have already seen a couple of reviews of both AMD and Intel’s latest flagships on the processor market. But no one has ever concentrated on testing them on only PC-games, until now.
They guys at Aceshardware.com. have made a comparison of the two processors where they focused on game tests only. There are ten different graphic engines used in this test. It’s a lot of genres they’ve been looking at such as flight simulators, car games and “first person shooters”. We personally know that the difference in game performance between Intel and AMD is often debated to great extent by our readers. It is, as usual, avery high quality article that Aceshardware.com have put together and sports some very interesting reading.
Not entirely unexpected there is no clear choice for the one who plays a wide variety of games, there is, however, one choice which seems to be the best for most of the games. The best performance in 7 of 10 tests is undeniably to the benefit for one of the processors in Aceshardware’s article.
