SiS announced their 661FX chipset for Intel’s P4 platform today. It is the first chipset combining 800 MHz FSB and integrated grapics. The lucky star in this is the Real256E engine, capable of 32 to 64 MB shared memory.
Apart from this, the chipset also features the usual lot like 8 USB 2.0 ports support, integrated 5.1 sound, integrated network, SATA RAID (0/1) controller, ATA 133 controller. Communication between North- and Southbridge would go through SiS MuTIOL 1G with 1GB/s bandwidth.
