CPUID releases new software

CPUID.com has released a new software which can be really interesting for you overclockers out there. ClockGen is the name of the new application which is a Windows-based software for direct overclocking. If you have one of the supported mainboards, you will be able to overclock your computer directly from Windows, without reboots and such. Similiar applications has been around for quite some time now and to mention some of them them we can say SetFSB and CPUCool. Today ClockGen supports these mainboards.

At the same time CPUID takes the chance to release a new version of their system information software CPU-Z. CPU-Z can be used in Windows for checking the CPU and busspeeds or e.g. the ram memory timings. A really useful tool for the enthusiast, which now has reached version 1.19. The new version supports e.g. FSB:DRAM and can also read direct overclocking in Windows as ClockGen allows.
