The market for mini computers is entirely crowded at the time being, and the abbreviation SSF (Small Form Factor) is nowadays a well-known conception among the vast majority of people. The motherboard manufacturer Biostar is one of those companies that decided to jump onto the wagon and release their very own SFF systems. One of them is their Biostar iDEQ 200N, which is based on nVidia’s nForce2 chipset.
This unit has found its way to the boys at myWORLD Hardware and proved itself to be a decidedly interesting product that has potential to survive in today’s reckless competition. Biostar shows off several innovative solutions for both the functional and estethical design. Biostar iDEQ 200N has, among other things, support for SATA, which many of its competitors lack. The manufacturer has also given us their best shot and included an integrated IR receiver for users that’d like to use a remote control, which however is bought separately.
We do not have any complaints about the neat door that covers the frontal expansion slots, since it gives the unit a great stylistic appeal.
Biostar iDEQ 200N seems to be a great alternative for those who are looking forward to buy a SFF system, but unfortunately, we do not how the availability in Sweden looks like. Information about this is highly welcome in our forums.
