Mobility 9600 vs 5600 Go

Extreme Tech has a nice videocard shootout up. The cards being tested are the latest mobile solutions from ATI and nVidia. The ATI card looks great, beating the nVidia card in most tests despite its slower memory (later this year cards with faster memory will be available). Especially when it comes to DX9 functionality the 5600 GO gets kicked all over the place by the 9600 Mobility which is around 300% faster in some tests. Unfortunately the cards are not tested on identical computers, so the fight is not over yet. However it’s known that ATI’s part consumes less power and generates less heat then the nVidia counterpart. ATI’s mobile-specific functions are also more advanced.
