During the weekend, Anton has been to Germany to represent NordicHardware at ABIT’s F1 event in Mainz. This occurence lasted for four days and several big European mediums were invited, among them NordicHardware, which was the only representative from Sweden.
Apart from the privilege to follow Germany’s Grand Prix from a ringside seat and drive Go-Karts, we were invited to a number of press releases where we, among other things, got to see a system built on the new ABIT IC7-MAX3 motherboard.
Something that was a solely new experience was, however, a demonstration of ABIT’s upcoming SFF barebone.
We do not have a name of the creation yet, but it’s already clear that this SFF differs a lot from other SFFs on the market, regarding both functionality and design. For instance, the system is equipped with a jogdial, which cannot only be used as a volume control, but also to overclock your system, raise/lower fan speeds, and more. Together with the quick-buttons below the LCD display, it gives the system quite a number of functions within easy reach.
We will provide you with further information about the whole ABIT F1 happening shortly, including more pictures and specifications of the SFF system, and an interview with ABIT itself. But until then, we offer you two pictures of the SFF. Please bear in mind that the front panel will be somewhat changed with the launch date at hand in the end of September, but still, the pictures give a hunch of what the system is going to look like.
