After a lot of jumping back and forth, nVidia is finally once again a part of Futuremark’s Beta Program.
“Tero Sarkkinen, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Futuremark Corporation, said: “We are very excited about NVIDIA joining the program. Their membership further validates our benchmark development model and adds value to the whole program.”
A move that seems somewhat peculiar, as nVidia doesn’t even have a driver that’s approved by Futuremark’s regulations for 3DMark03. Indeed, an updated driver is about to be released any day now, but the beta version of this driver we tested still contained the “optimizations”.

nVidia’s antagonism has apparently faded, although we’ve not seen any pronouncement from the American graphics giant hitherto.
