Systemcooling.com has a review of Thermalright’s new high-end heatsink; the Thermalright SLK-947U. This heatsink is not entirely based on new technologies – it’s just a long-awaited update of the famous SLK-900U. One big flaw on the SLK-900U was that it had a lot of compatibility problems with both AMD and P4 mainboards. This updated version reduces this problem.
To be able to minimize the compatibility problems, the company was forced to change the design slightly; only a few millimetres here and there. The weight is identical. But how do these changes affect performance?
