nVidia releases overclocking software for nForce2/3-chipset

0

nVidia has now decided to put its foot in the overclocking market with the big artillery, or rather the software. nVidia’s new software nvSystemutility is simply a tool for overclockers and it has also been known as nvOverclocking.
The application lets the users to overclock and optimize the system directly in Windows and apart from many third part applications you have almost infinite amount of options. We aren’t talking about only changing the FSB speed on the CPU here, you can among other things change the frequency of the memory buss, AGP-buss and optimize your memory timings. This can as already mentioned be done directly in Windows without one single reboot.
In addition to various overclocking and optimizing possibilities the application also give a good overview of the systems specifications.
The software is like a Windows-based BIOS since more or less all settings for overclocking in BIOS also can be found in nvSystemutility.
Voltage settings will also be featured in the future but in the version nVidia supplies there are relatively few options and settings. The idea is that mainboard manufacturers should tailor make nvSystemutility for their mainboards and BIOS-settings.
It is beginning to look good for all overclockers and right now the only missing thing is a version of the application that supports graphics cards. According to nVidia we can expect that during the next year.
