Despite the poor marketing done by ASUS, especially in Scandinavia, their sales are going impressively well. During September they shipped the record-breaking number of 3.02 million mainboards, and are estimated to ship 3.3 million mainboards during October.
These numbers make ASUS the undisputable leader among the mainboard manufacturers, of whom also ranking high can be named as Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), Micro-Star International (MSI) and Gigabyte Technology.
The manufacturer that shipped the most mainboards after ASUS was ECS with a meagre 1.49 millions, giving ASUS a rather hefty advantage.
Now we can only hope that this will bring ASUS to a better attitude towards computer mediums in general so that we won’t only see a lot of mainboards in the stores but also in our test labs.
