If you have not already heard of G-gnomes Orac³ project, found in Bit-Tech’s forums, I feel that I’m obliged to inform you. Indeed, it would be a shame to miss this project cause it really is something.
Through the year’s, one has seen scores of impressive computer modifications of all sorts, the one being more impressive than the other. Now G-gnomes Orac³ would probably be the most memorable I’ve seen hitherto. A work of art would probably not stray too far from the truth.
Through thorough planning and superior handicraft, G-gnome has produced a case that really doesn’t resemble anything else. The project is not finished yet, but all the updates and such have pedantically been recorded in Bit-Tech’s forums with an enormous amount of pictures and comments. Of course, this is naught but good for us who can only wish to collect inspiration or information.
Briefly, what is used is an acryl chassis modded with large amounts of chrome, coloured acryl pannels, LEDs, a VDF display and much more.
All metal, and some plastic components, are chromed, giving the case a very impressive look.
It’s absolutely impossible to do full justice to the project with a small piece of news like this, so you’d do better to head over to Bit-Tech’s forums and read through this rather impressive project.
As of yet, G-gnome’s project log is around a nifty 50 pages with large amounts of pictures and explanations, so there’s material there to go through, trust you me.
You can find G-gnomes log at Bit-Techs forum.
