I was somewhat surprised when Corsair mailed us in late 2003 and asked us if we were interested in testing DDR2-memories. Well now the memory h as arrived, in good time before we will see any mainboards with support for DDR2.
Corsair are the first one with a DDR2-product out on the market an as usual we can expect high quality memory.
The thing that caught my attention was that this DDR2-memory is slower then Corsair’s fastest model with regular DDR. Not only when it comes MHz but also timings. So the question is really: why make these? The answer is simply that it’s more economical to manufacture then the fast PC4400 DDR “1”-memory.
