That massive LCD-displays, whether it’s TVs or monitors, gives enthusiasts a warm and pleasant feeling is no news.
Unfortunately it’s way to often that you wake up from a striking blow at solar plexus, a punch delivered by the infamous pricetag.
Well If you want a taste of it, you are gonna have to pay up, something we learned already as small kids trying to negotiate for a bigger ranson of candy. However now and then it happends that a very expensive product can be found at a reasonable price. It used a couple of extra gummi bears at bedtime, now it’s a high quality 24″ LCD-monitor from Dell that we want.

Dell has earlier launched a 20″ LCD-monitor, UltraSharp 2005FPW, that has rescieved some very good reviews despite the very humane cost.
Well now Dell has taken out the big guns and launches Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW, which has a 24″ screen.

Over at ExtremeTech they have as one of the first medias taken a closer look at this very interesting monitor and the judgement is quite positive. With a resolution of 1920x1200px and 12-16ms responce the specifications are alright, but the real joy is the price of $1199 dollar. This is at least a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than the next competing brand.

While we trying to organize our desk to fit an 24″ monitor and trying to calculate for how long we are to survive on noodles we can surely recommend the review of Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW at ExtremeTech.
