First of all I would like to welcome a new crew member to the game, our new “mod writer” Richard “DexiL” Haaga.
Some of you might recognize him by his Dragothica-chassi. We are happy to announce that Richard now is a part of our editorial office and will contribute with articles and guide, but also reviews, on most things regarding modifying your computer.
Richard’s first creation is a guide to a rather poorly documented but powerful mod: namely etching, aka engraving.
Richard’s Project: Dragothica is a case with several engravings and Richard has in his guide made a thurough description on how to make one these masterpieces.
The guide starts of with a roundup of tools and what to think about and then walks you through the whole process. He also introduces coloring, which can be used to bring out the etching even more.
“I’ve put together a guide for how to go about making an etching, and to show you it’s not as hard as it might look. It’s a lot of work though, and requires a steady hand.
But don’t let that turn you off! A beautiful etching can certainly bring a plain piece of plexiglass to life.”
