Small preview imageEarlier we reported on ViewSonic’s new superfast TFT monitor with a responcetime of only 4 milliseconds! At Hardwarezone they’ve taken a closer look at ViewSonic´s Xtreme series monitor and it turns it actually uses the same panel as BenQ’s 8 ms monitor but with more power to the chrystals. It is also capable of 1280 x 1024 at 75Hz and DTV 720p at 60Hz which isn’t the most interesting part though.

Hardwarezone has tested the world’s fastest TFT monitor and it seems to have quite a lot to offer. A typical reponcetime at 5ms, the time for grey to grey and black to white. 75 Hz at 1280 x 1024 makes the screen a good options for games and applications that stresses the monitor, and according to ViewSonic this is as fast TFT monitors can get even though others disagree. The question is if you actually need a faster monitor as the eye can hardly detect such fast responces. ViewSonic has really outdone itself both with the design and the performance. In the tests they didn’t find any dead pixels, which is always a good sign. A really nice monitor that we wouldn’t mind seeing more of in the future.
