BSOD is a not so good but wellknown expression that more or less has become a nominator for Microsoft as the years have passed by. The Blue Screen Of Death is that blue screen that pops up when Microsoft’s Windows operating system crashes. In Longhorn, the sequel to WinXP, there will be less BSODs but instead it will introduce a RSOD (Red Screen Of Death) that will appear when there is a more of a critical error. This information is suppose to come from a employee at Microsoft and appears to be correct, thus in the future you need not only to look out for the BSOD but also the RSOD. At Joi Ito’s webblog they’ve posted a screenshot of a RSOD “in action”. Source: Slashdot
