It’s all relative of course and if the world’s largest software company are heading for harder times this is perhaps inducating that times are really getting tough. At BBC News they’ve written a a series of articles on Microsoft’s current position on a software market that is getting to large for only one company to dominate. In the first part we get familiar with the companies and the software that today and within the near future will be the biggest threat towards Microsoft’s “monopoly” on the software market. Names such as Google, Apple, Linux and Firefox and the common nominator is that times will get harder and harder as more and more specialized software companies enter the market.
