Mushkin Redline is a new series of memories from the memory manufacturer Mushkin that is aimed towards enthusiasts. The modules are sort of similar to OCZ’s VX-series. Mushkin’s Redline-series namely uses the the same Winbond-chip as OCZ, very efficient, uses with its VX-series. These chips are optimized for aggressive timings at high frequencies but with the downside that they require quite a lot of voltage. At Anandtech they’ve taken a closer look at Mushkin Redline XP4000 specified for 2-2-2-6 timings at DDR500. Quite impressive specifications as these are not only for show but also performs.
