Blu-ray didn’t look all that superior when HD DVD presented a HD DVD disc with the capacity of 45GB (read only with three layers) a couple of days ago. Blu-ray has been busy working on a counter attacj and here it is. Blu-ray follower TDK has namely presented a Blu-ray disc that can store 100GB (four layers), twice as much as the 50GB Blu-ray has announced earlier. The disc TDK presented will contrary to HD DVD’s 45GB version be writeable and that at twice the speed as earlier Blu-ray media. There is no information yet on when the 100GB disc will arrive on the market but surely looks like Blu-ray and HD DVD battle to the end.
