PS3 will cost about the same as PS2 did

PS3, Playstation 3,is Sony’s next gaming console and it will be full of the latest technology when it is launched sometime during teh middle of next year. It’s been a lot of speculations on the price of Sony’s new console and the first inforrmation we got was that it should be around 465 dollar at teh launch, which would be considerably higher than the price it launched PS at, 368 dollar.

Now it seems the price will be somewhere around the one the PS2 was launched at according to a Japanese site that reports that Sony is planning to launch the consolse with a price below 370 dollar. We will probably have to wait a few more months before we get an official statement but it doesn’t seem unreasonable that PS3 will be more expensive than its precedors. The question is whether it can afford a higher price when battling Microsoft and Xbox 360.
