Maxtor introduces 0.5TB harddrive

Maxtor follows Hitachi and presents a 3.5″ harddrive with a capacity of a whopping 0.5TB, 500GB. Maxtor’s coming monster drive will work at 7200 rpm and support the SATA-300 interface for optimal transfer speeds. There will also be a ATA133 version for those who still rely on the old IDE-interface. Maxtor’s 500GB harddrive should be in stores during the third quarter of 2005 but the price is so far to be announced.
