ATI Catalyst 5.6 – Now also for Mobility Radeon

ATI Catalyst 5.6 may appear to be just any update. But behind the exterior hides one of ATI’s biggest Catalyst-releases for a long time. First of all Catalyst is now available for laptop-users as well by added support for Mobility Radeon, something many has been waiting for. It is the same driver for both portable and desktop computers and Catalyst 5.6 has been tweaked a lot. They’ve also refined the user interface and added some new functions. Catalyst Control Center has also been heavily optimized and the startup times has been reduced by quite a margin.

Catalyst 5.6 is also according to ATI optimized for better performance in several ways but according to Firingsquad it seems to be quite tiny improvements. But with its improved interface and Mobility Radeon support there is a lot of positive things with Catalyst 5.6. You can find even more information at ATi.
