Small preview imageIE7 (Internet Explorer 7) should appear in betaform during the summer but until then there has been revealed a few screenshots of Microsoft’s next browser. Now it’s time for another set of pictures taken during a presentation of Longhorn during Gnomedex that has found its way out on the internet. The pictures shows that Microsoft has put a lot of effort into integrating support for RSS, which is something Microsoft will focus a lot on with its coming operating system Longhorn. RSS is appearantly Microsoft’s next “care child” and considering the company’s influence we can be sure to expect an “RSS-boom” sometime the coming years.

“Upon closer examination of the screenshots one can make out the basic layout of the new browser. Microsoft has added a search tool to the top right of the browsing window similar to the one found in Safari/Firefox. A single tab located directly above the menus appears to be running in each of the screenshots. Back/Forward buttons can be found on the top left of the screen with the home, favorites, history and what seems to be a RSS subscription button sitting down by the drop-down menus.”

Except for the stillpictures there is also a video at Channel9 that shows how IE7 has integrated RSS-feeds. We have to say it looks promising and it is going to be very interesting to see how Microsoft and Mozilla’s coming browser will battle for the users.
