Xbox 360 vs. PS3 – a comparison

Xbox 360 and PS3 (PlayStation
3) are two of the next generaion of consoles that will
battle for the consumers. In a few months it’s time for Microsoft to unleash
Xbox 360 on the market and about 6 months later it’s time for Sony to launch its
beast, PS3. Both manufacturers as released details on the consoles’
specifications and as usual there are some big differences between the two
consoles, especially the hardware. At Anandtech they’ve tried to clarify why the
two has chosen the hardware they have. Despite that there is no way of comparing
the systems yet you can use the specifications as a guide to try and figure out
what they were thinking when developing the consoles.
