Matrox launches the first PCIe x1 graphic card

Matrox will be the first graphic card manufacturer that launches a graphic card with the PCI Express x1 interface. Today only it is only the x16 interface that is being used for PCIe graphic cards but with Matrox “new” Millennium G550 PCIe card you will be able to use your other ports as well. Via its x1 connection the card can be used in all PCIe ports on a mainboard, which makes it possible to use a big load of monitors. Millennium G550 PCIe has 32MB DDR-memory and supports resolution up to 1600×1200 px. Not the latest or the hottest hardware but with its PCIe x1 interface it offers some new possibilities.
