Now that the launch of Windows Vista is getting closer (yea … right) the discussions on the operatings systems requirements has started to really spread. At eWeek they’ve published an article which discusses what hardware that will be required by Microsoft’s next OS. Microsoft hasn’t posted any specifications yet and even if most computers will be able to run Vista in some way, it is the new graphical interface Aero Glass 3D we are talking about. You will need a DirectX 9.0 graphic card to render all effects which means that integrated graphic circuits won’t do at all. Whether coming integrated circuits will raise the bar so much it will be able to handle Aero Glass 3D is to soon to predict, but not unlikely. There are tons to do, especially for Intel that for long has been producing integrated graphic circuits with mediocre performance. Something people with laptops is going to suffer from badly. :: Read on about Windows Vista and its expected hardware requirements
