Sanyo develops the first LSI-circuit for HD DVD, DVD and CD

Sanyo has developed a “one-chip” solution for signaltreatment of today’s DVD and CD format, but also the next generation of optical format HD DVD. The LSI-circuit (large-scale integration) is thanks to its “one-chip” design design cheaper to manufacture and easier to integrate into HD DVD players and similar hardware. Sanyo’s LSI-circuits is expected to show up on the market during the second quarter of 2006, but already this year it will launch its own HD DVD-players, but with other circuits.
