The size of the Internet is something most people believe is an impossible question but that hasn’t stopped Yahoo and Google to debate just this. Or at least how you should count the number of sites, an important issue during the marketing of a search engine. Yahoo namely claims that its search engine can find up to 19.2 nillion documents with its databases. This is twice as many as Google claims to be able to find and as Yahoo posted this information Google questioned Yahoo’s way of counting. Whether Yahoo or Google is correct it seems like an impossible question to answer but teh number od indexed document doesn’t necessary means how good and efficient the search engine is. According to a survey made by scientists at National Center for Supercomputer Applications Google in general generated over 166.9 percent more hits than Yahoo. We pressume that the debate wil continue and we will most likely not see a “winner”, but it sure looks like Google seems to still have the upper hand here. Source: News.com
