Apple had its “special event” yesterday where it presented a series of interesting products. Not the least a new addition to the iPod-series which has really caused quite a ruckus. iPod Nano is the name of the new player which is kind of a hybrid between iPod Shuffle and iPod Mini. Nano uses flashmemory as storage, which is the reason Apple hsa managed to make it so slim. iPod Nano is only 62% the size of iPod Mini and the thickness is only 6.9mm and weighs in at neat 42g. iPod Nano will be sold as 2GB and 4GB capacity and aside from the classic white there will also be a black version.
Just as iPod Mini Nano has been equipped with a display, a smaller one though (1.5″) than the Mini but at the same time with a higher resolution and not the least in color. The battery will last for 14 hours which is the best we’ve seen so far in the iPod-series. The price will be $199 for 2GB and $249 for 4GB.
More information on iPod Nano can be found at Apple’s homepage.
Apple isn’t slowing down though and has launched a new version of iTunes at the same time. iTunes 5 brings a whole lot of news and you can read more about the software here. You can expect more information about Apple’s special event lateron as it did not only bring news about a new iPod and iTunes…
