Intel has according to mainboard manufacturers announced it will lower its prices on Pentium D 8xx and Celeron-processors in January 2006. The reason is without a doubt the up and coming launch of the 65nm-processors, Pentium D9 and Pentium 4 6xx. The Celeron-models will all get cut off by at least 5% all the way up to 13% in some cases. The Pentium D 8xx series will not recieve an equal cut where only Pentium D 840 is the one who gets a remarkable lowering with 20%, from 530 dollar to 423 dollar.
