HP, Hewlett-Packard, is a company that uses the Open Source operating system Linux for many of its components and it has just ended a “road show” where it revealed that Linux will become a standard product in its selection. A lot of HP’s infrastructure is built on Linux so it is not only their products that uses the OS, but also the company itself. It has announced it will launch stationary and portable computers with the Linux-based OS Ubuntu. It seems Linux is expanding and getting a boost from such a large company as HP is something few would say no to.
