BenQ and Samsung has both recently launched new LCD-monitors at 20″ and according to DigiTimes this is just the start of what to come as several monitor manufacturers are about to enter the 20″+ market this year. BenQ will launch a 23″-model while CMV is about to launch a 20.1″ model and Acer brags about one 20″ and one 24″ model during the fourth quarter. With the increasing number of monitors the price is expected to drop and according to Taiwanese sources we’re talking about a drop close to 20% for 20″+ monitors during the fourth quarter of 2005. We are of course welcoming this with arms wide open, but we still wouldn’t mind seeing some more highres panels.
