The antivirus company Symantec has in a report announced that Mozilla’s browsers, mainly Firefox, might be more vulnerable than Internet Explorer. According to the report Symantec registered 25 vulnerabilities with Mozilla’s browsers during the first six months of 2005, the most of all browsers. Internet Explorer had 18 registered vulnerabilities during the same period. But at the same time hackers are still primarily focusing on cracking and exploiting Microsoft’s browser according to Symantec. However they don’t consider how fast these holes were fixed nor how many that was actually exploited so this should perhaps be considered with a pinch of salt. Source: News.com
