Sapphire’s liquid metal cooling on hold

0

Sapphire created quite a ruckus when it announced Sapphire Radeon X850XT PE Blizzard which was the first graphic card to be cooled by liquid metal. However ever since the announcement we haven’t seen or even heard of Sapphire’s unique cooling, which according to The Inquirer is because of the cooling manufacturer NanoCoolers. NanoCoolers has apparently swtched focus and is no longer interested in cooling systems with liquid metal. It has even removed all information with this technology from its webpage where it now displays its Thin-Film Thermoelectric technology instead. What will happen with Sapphire’s cooler remains to see, but it doesn’t look good.
