Corsair XMS-3500LL PRO 2GB kit is just as OCZ EB DDR PC-4000 1024MB modules with high density and low latencies. But where OCZ has gone for high speeds Corsair, which has launched the modules together with ASUS, gone for optimal performance for the Athlon 64-platform. The new modules are DDR437 and is shipped in pairs for dual channel whcih works with e.g. nVidia’s nForce 4. The specified latencies are very aggressive at 2-3-2-6-1T. Corsair’s XMS-3500LL PRO 2GB kit is primarily intended for ASUS recently launched board nForce 4 x16 SLI but will of course work just as good with other mainboards.
“Realizing the increasing need for greater system memory to take full advantage of memory-intensive applications while maintaining low latencies for best performance on the Athlon™64 platform, Corsair designed the XMS-3500LL PRO with the latest 64MBx8 high speed chips and specially designed Brain Power PCB. The latest real-world applications like Battlefield2 demand a lot more memory bandwidth.”
More and more options are appearing for those who wants to increase the amount of memory and 1GB modules is almost starting become a must if you don’t want to fill upp your slots fast.
