PSP-patch that ruins players are circulating

PSP was earlier updated with a new firmware 2.01, or at least the Japanese market was able to update with it. The update was suppose to fix the security holes that made it possible to run your own software and downgrade your firmware to version 1.5. At the same time a patch has appeared claiming to be from the people at Team PSP and the result of installing this patch will be a nice looking but very expensive paper weight. Your PSP will namely become totally useless if you install the patch. This is hardly the last time we will see something like this for PSP and we recommend our readers to be extra careful with what you download and install on your PSP in the future.
