Overclocking X1800XT

Radeon X1800 XT is the graphic card with the highest GPU frequency yet. Also the memory frequency is extremely high, default at 625MHz/1500MHz which you can read in our review of X1800 XT. But it doesn’t end there. We are working on an extensive performance article of the X1000-series ourselves where you will find thurough overlocking benchmarks with all available cards. Until then you will have to suffice with how well DriverHeaven has done with its refence card that ATi has supplied, Radeon X1800 XT.

We’re talking about overclocking without any modifications so this should indicate what we should expect from a regular consumer card. 685MHz at the GPU and 1790MHz at GDDR3-memory is quite impressive and the performance they gain is even more impressive.
