Blu-ray seems to have acquired quite a momentum and the latest news indicate that we will see Blu-ray capable DVD-drives already in November 2005. It is component manufacturer AOpen that has announced that it has plans for introducing Blu-ray units for PCs already next month. This would without a doubt be an important step for Blu-ray and a real kick in the teeth for HD DVD but at the same time AOpen’s drives will be very expensive to begin with, while there will be practically no Blu-ray media to play. Whether there will be more Blu-ray-material later on this year this story is getting more and more interesting as time passes by, and we should most likely see a retort from HD DVD soon.
