AOpen was actually among the first ones to show up a system almost identical to Apple’s Mac mini. Last time we reported about it, it was called AOpen Pandora, and was shown on Computex for a couple of months ago. Now it looks like AOpen has their mini-PC ready for a soon upcoming launch, and even if we don’t know its final name, it seems like it is about to show up on the market during November. AOpen’s mini-PC is based on Intel’s 915GM-chipset, and will be shipped with either a 1.4GHz Celeron M-CPU or a 1.7GHz Pentium M-model.
The prices will be $609 and $788 when the system is launched on the Taiwanese market. We hope to soon find out more about this Mac mini-clone which could be a cheaper alternative than the Voodoo IDOL mini, that looks a bit too much like AOpens model to be considered a coincidence.
