AMD’s price cuts a fact!

Already yesterday we reported that AMD was planning on lowering its prices of several of its processor. Now the price cut has become official and the models that has been lowered the most are AMD’s mobile processors in the Turion 64-series, it has cut the prices with 6-26% which is quite considerable cut. All models in the Athlon 64 X2-series has been affected by the price cut and the model that that has been lowered the most is Athlon 64 X2 4200+ where AMD has cut off 15% of the price. The regular Athlon 64-processorers hasn’t been affected by this price cut though, whcih we had hoped but the only thing that has happened is that AMD will stop making the low end 2800+ and 3000+.

Which we personlly think is very sad as we all know that the overclocking potential with these are very great. The mobile Athlon 64-processors has been lowered, just as AMD’s Sempron-processors both for desktop and portable computers. Complete lists over the prices can be found at DigiTimes.
