The graphic card market has a number of actors and it is not only ATi and nVidia that is making and selling graphic circuits for computers. Together with Intel they are the biggest actors on the market and after Intel, which with its integrated circuits controls about 40% of the desktop market, ATi is selling the most circuits. During the second quarter of 2005 ATi controlled 26.8% of the desktop market while nVidia had to suffice with 15.9%. The third quarter of 2005 things shifted a bit, ATi dropped to 26.2% while nVidia increased to 17.8%. nVidia has started to gain on ATi and it is going to be very interesting to see how this year will end.
