Playstation 3 can measure up in many ways to Xbox 360, except from when it comes to the online services. For long we’ve thought that Sony has been working on something to counter Microsoft Xbox 360’s new Xbox Live! online service. Now it turned out that this is not the case. It seems that Sony has no intention, what-so-ever, on creating an online equivalent service for the Playstation 3, but will go the same way as it did with Playstation 2 and let the game developers handle the online services, if any.
