ATi raises the recommended price of X1800 XT

ATi launched its Radeon X1800 XT and it was then forced to keep a competitive price with GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB. It therefore chose a recommended price at 549 USD which was lower than the one of 7800 GTX 256MB, but higher than the price they were actually sold for. Now that information about the really high price of nVidia’s extreme card GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB, 649 USD, has leaked ATi hasn’t been late with updating its prices. According to The Inquirer ATi has raised the recommended price of X1800 XT to 599 USD and as the availability is very limited no one is expected to go below the price.
