S3 Chrome S27 benchmarks

S3 Chrome S27 has recently been announced by S3 Graphics and even if we’ve seen some technical information about the card we haven’t seen any real benchmarks with the card based on S3’s budget circuits. At the Chinese hardware site HKEPC they’ve now published an article with S3 Chrome S27 and there they offers among others some performance tests where they compare S27 with Radeon X1300 Pro and GeForce 6600 DDR2. S3’s latest graphic circuit stands up pretty well and even collects a few wins, although it is having a hard time to keep up with the nVidia card in the game tests. S3’s pricing will most likely play a major role here, but as of today the cards seem to be a very good alternative for ATi’s X1300-series.
