ATI hasn’t just been having a tough time with the graphic card market but also the integrated market where NVIDIA now has taken the number one spot. NVIDIA’s new chipset series GeForce 61xx has moved down ATI’s RS480 chipset from the top spot on the IGP market (Integrated Graphics Processor). Now it seems that ATI is having plans on countering this move at once. At Anandtech they’ve puiblished some information about ATI’s new IGP-chipsets and the high end version RS690 seems very interesting. If the information is correct the circuit will be launched before the end of the year and will have a circuit based on the X700 core. Which should be able to bring a fair fight to NVIDIA’s GeForce 61xx-series.
