The record company EMI, which by the way is one of those trying to get Apple to abandon their pricing on iTunes, has now published a press statement telling that their copy controlled CD’s is soon to be supported by iPod. They’ve written that Apple soon are finished with the technical work required to let consumers transfer music from copy controlled CD’s to their iPods. The only problem for EMI is that Apple in their own press release firmly denies working on support for copy controlled CD’s for their iPods and they can’t understand why EMI would claim such a thing. The record companies still develop their copy control-systems, sometimes with controversial methods, something Sony has proved.
